I really enjoyed hearing your NMIX Capstone project ideas. I got stoked thinking of what we could do with them.
Now you need to put your ideas in a format the everyone can easily review.
You need to created a post for this blog with your name and 2 or 3 sentences about your idea.
You will need to review everyone's ideas and then come to class on Thursday, 1/15, with a list of three you think we should explore. Got it?
And just to help out a little, I was thinking about the projects this morning at the dentist (yeah, loads of fun). I think they fall into some pretty broad categories. Maybe these can help you think about what projects you think might work.

ReplyDeletethe idea i would like to work on is a type of interactive story telling. i would like to take a story from anywhere in the world and tell it through an interactive flash game. yes there will be action script programming involved (flash programming language) but it can be kept simple and is do-able. we can use video interviews that that give information to the player on what is going on throughout the game and we would definitely need people with story telling skills. this project will encompass all all our talents as writers, graphic designers, video producers and game programmers.

I suggested something close to Chris Anthony's.
I would like to see some kind of mobile video or podcast of "what's happening in the news" in Athens. This could entail entertainment, specials or a breaking news story.
As a business, newspapers are looking for a way to stay in the now. I think it is important for them to adapt, and could possibly use an opportunity such as this to update regularly and sustain the people on the go. People could subscribe or visit the site to access this information.
My idea was the user generated virtual dance studio. On this website people could log on and add instructional videos to teach people how to dance. People then can go on and learn the latest dance moves.
